Islanders News: Inconceivable! Beating the Lightning, that is.

Folks, I tell ya, after the loss to the Rangers on Saturday afternoon (the Rangers’ first-ever win at Barclays Center, by the way), I seriously thought the Islanders were going to walk away from this weekend of back-to-back home games with 0 points. I thought that even a tired Lightning team, one that played the night before and had to travel, was still a better team than the Islanders. And, arguably, they were last night. But the fast start helped.

I’d still be scared to death of facing Tampa Bay in the first round. It’s a series the Islanders would probably lose in 5 games. But last night is what the one game they’d win would look like.
