The IIHF World Junior Championship kicked off yesterday. The New York Islanders have three prospects playing across Team Canada and Team USA. Here’s their remaining schedule so you can follow along.

The New York Islanders have three prospects playing in the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship. Oliver Wahlstrom and Logan Cockerill are representing Team USA while Noah Dobson is playing for Team Canada.

Both Oliver Wahlstrom and Noah Dobson were selected by the New York Islanders in the first round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Wahlstrom was selected with the eleventh overall pick while Dobson was the 12th overall. Logan Cockerill is a seventh-round pick from 2017 and currently plays for Boston University.

If you want to follow all three here are their remaining round-robin schedules.

Remaining Schedule

Both Team Canada and Team USA have already played their first games of the tournament on Boxing Day. Both came away with wins. Team USA defeated Team Slovakia 2-1 while Canada destroyed Denmark 14-0.

Neither of the Isles three prospects has registered a point yet, but Oliver Wahlstrom showed that he isn’t all offense with this nice defensive play against the Slovakians.

But with five teams in each group both teams still have another three games to play before we get to the single elimination games.

With a win to start to the tournament, both have set themselves up well for the remainder of the tournament. The Canadians face tough competition against the Czech on the 29th and then the Russians on the 31st.

Team USA will be in tough against 2018 silver medalist Sweden whom they face a day after playing Kazahkstan. Then two days later they play a Finnish team that shouldn’t be underestimated.
